Description
Fresh Red Carolina Reaper Peppers Approximately 1,400,000–2,200,000 SHU Scoville Range
Fresh Red Carolina Reaper peppers grown on Buffalo Mountain using Buffalo Mountain Living Soil, natural growing practices, and rainwater only.
Special Seed Provenance
Our original Red Carolina Reaper seed stock was sourced directly from Ed Currie’s PuckerButt Pepper Company — the breeder behind the Carolina Reaper.
Those seeds were grown here on Buffalo Mountain to produce the fresh Red Carolina Reaper peppers offered by Buckeye Blazers.
For serious pepper growers and collectors, that gives this particular crop a documented connection back to the original source of the Carolina Reaper genetics.
Red Carolina Reaper
Heat Level: 🔥🔥 EXTREME SUPERHOT
Scoville Range: Approximately 1,400,000–2,200,000 SHU
The Red Carolina Reaper is one of the most recognizable superhot peppers in the world. Its deeply wrinkled red pods and characteristic pointed tail hide an exceptionally intense burn.
Underneath that heat is a surprisingly fruity, slightly sweet flavor, which makes the Reaper useful for sauces and seasonings when used in very small quantities.
Great For
- Extreme hot sauce
- Superhot salsa
- Chili
- BBQ sauces
- Spicy marinades
- Dehydrating
- Pepper flakes
- Homemade pepper powder
- Adding extreme heat in very small amounts
Save the Seeds
Buckeye Blazers peppers are heirloom varieties.
The original seed stock for these Red Carolina Reapers came from Ed Currie’s PuckerButt Pepper Company.
Remove mature seeds before cooking, dry and store them properly, and you can save them for your next growing season.
Eat the pepper. Save the seeds. Grow again.
Because peppers can naturally cross-pollinate when different varieties are grown nearby, seeds saved from our fresh peppers may occasionally produce natural variations.
